Valuation Advisory Services: Senior Consultant

Our Valuation Advisory Services practice has an opportunity for a Senior Consultant in our New York, Chicago, or Bethesda (Metro DC area) offices. As a part of this dynamic team, you will have the unique experience to work in a collaborative environment on a wide range of valuation projects.
If you have two to four years of valuation experience and are:

Responsibilities:
  • Perform and review business valuations for privately-held and publicly-traded companies for financial reporting, tax, and strategic purposes
  • Financial modeling, prepare valuation analyses using income, market, and cost based approaches (e.g., discounted cash flow method, guideline public company method, guideline M&A transactions method) and write narrative valuation reports Review and summarize financial, corporate, and legal agreements and other documents
  • Conduct financial statement analysis (e.g., common size analysis, ratio analysis, trend analysis, and industry comparative analysis)
  • Perform market, industry, and economic research and analyses
  • Maintain active communication with supervisors throughout engagements and begin to develop client relationships
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics with a strong interest in pursuing an ASA, ABV, or CFA certification
  • 2-4 years business valuation experience with a Big 4, Top 20 public accounting and advisory firm, or national firm Experience in both performing valuations and reviewing (i.e., audit support) valuations / fair value measurements for financial reporting purposes (e.g., ASC 805, ASC 350, ASC 360, ASC 718, etc.)
  • Ability to work on multiple engagements simultaneously with competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based environment
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • In-depth understanding of corporate finance and accounting concepts
  • Experience working with Capital IQ and/or the Bloomberg Professional Database
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, or additional hours as required, to meet client needs
