This is a twelve-month renewable position contingent on grant funding.
Under indirect supervision, the Title V Coaching/Multicultural Awareness Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all Title V cooperative grant activities related to faculty development and student transfer agreements including co-coordination of coaching/mentoring program development and pilot, development and pilot of multicultural awareness faculty professional development program, and education program transfer alignment with ENMU.
Multicultural Awareness Initiative: Assume primary responsibility for research, design, development and pilot of the multicultural awareness initiative for faculty professional development to maximize the success and retention of Hispanic, low-income, and at-risk students, anticipating and evaluating likely needs and obstacles. Assist in the identification of faculty and courses for participation in multicultural awareness professional development and classroom implementation efforts.
Coaching/Mentoring Program: Co-coordinate the development of campus coaching/mentoring program. Collaborate with all necessary faculty, staff, and student services personnel to develop and implement campus-wide coaching program.
Administrative: Responsible for developing appropriate data collection and analysis related to identified initiatives. Provide reporting as requested by Title V and other personnel on success of identified grant initiatives.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in education or related field is required, Master's degree preferred. A minimum of two years' experience in higher education preferred. Commitment to the CCC mission and project goals. Knowledge of multicultural issues present in higher education and demonstrated experience working with diverse learning styles. Demonstrated organizational, communication, and collaborative skills
Requires frequent and continuous sitting/moving about, continuous use of fine motor skills, and pushing and pulling of up to 10 lbs.
Must be available to work 40 hrs. per week with normal work hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
Salary Grade PR 11 Salary $31,143.41 - $34,031.39
