Supply Chain Operations Supervisor
  • Tier 2 supplier for automotive industries is hiring for a Supply Chain Operations Supervisor who will manage the flow of materials within the operation
  • This role will have direct responsibility of 20 material handlers, forklift drivers, production planners and supply chain analysts

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a Project Manager to streamline organize inefficiencies in the warehouse, supply chain and operation teams. Utilize six-sigma, and lean manufacturing principles
  • Develop, manage and direct a team of hourly employees, supply chain analysts and supply chain planners
  • Drive Material Management strategies
  • Utilize JDEdwards ERP System to schedule, plan, monitor, and control production, inventory and shipping, and receiving activities
  • Inventory management including participation in variance analysis, implementing corrective actions, and performing annual physical inventories.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required. Ideally in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Economics, or similar
  • MBA or APICS certification preferred
  • 4+ years' experience managing a supply chain, warehouse operations or materials management team
  • Experience with leading, supervising and directing a team of 10+ employees; prefer experience overseeing material handlers, cycle counters, supply chain coordinators or similar employees
  • Manufacturing experience is a MUST, open to any manufacturing industry
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with a lean environment and will have a track record of proven success in project management with the ability to improve cost-savings, and inventory reduction / organization.
  • Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills; able to lead, direct and motivate a team
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Excel, and ERP. Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards is a plus
  • Must be a self-starter, go-getter, hands-on in manufacturing and not afraid of a challenge
  • Former military experience is a plus
