Job Description:

The Strategy & Operations Consultant within our Transformation Practice will help our clients understand changing industry dynamics and customer needs, identify challenges and opportunities within their operating model, define a future state vision, and develop an actionable transformation roadmap. This is not a pure play project manager position but your ability to lead others and to direct project success is crucial. To excel in this role, you will need to understand how business process and technology intersect and be able to communicate that to our clients.

Here are some activities you should expect in this position:

  • Lead a small team of business and data analysts through our roadmap methodology (interviewing client stakeholders, analyzing data, reviewing business processes, identifying gaps, etc.)
  • Facilitate interviews, process-mapping discussions, and other working sessions
  • Document business processes, current state findings, future state vision, and transformation roadmap at both a detailed and an executive level
  • Work closely with subject matter experts within the firm to translate a big picture vision into an actionable project roadmap
  • Develop business cases and financial models to assess value of transformation project(s)
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify mitigation tactics to position project for success
  • Analyze, consolidate and summarize complex business problems into easily understood outputs
  • Prepare and deliver executive presentations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of business strategy consulting experience at a top-tier firm
  • Knowledge of business foundations, including strategy, finance, operations, product/project management, and marketing
  • Understanding of digital and/or analytics-driven transformation preferred
  • Proven track record of people, project, and process management
  • Strong record of leadership in an academic, professional, or extracurricular setting
  • Strong communicator and natural story-teller (verbally, in writing, and in executive presentations)
  • Experience managing client relationships
  • Experience presenting to client decision-makers, including executives
  • Ability to scope and create detailed project plans
  • Ability to work with technical resources to determine technical activities required to deliver business vision
  • Track record of creativity and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Strong professional presence in all environments
  • Positive and collaborative team player
