Basic corporate finance knowledge preferred. Event sourcing and negotiations experience preferred. Should be competent in financial assessment and comparison of different options, working with senior leadership, communication, presentation skills, and value-based decision analysis. Knowledge of, and experience in, SAP and Ariba Travel up to 70 -+ Responsibilities The Hotel Contract Manager will be responsible for sourcing hotel accommodation primarily for corporate events, groups and meetings, crew layovers and distressed passengers in regional domestic and select international markets. The manager will be leading RFPs, site inspections, and direct negotiations for hotel and related vendor selection including catering, transportation and audio visual needs. The manager will also work cross functionally with Supply Chain analytics to optimize hotel blocks to minimize spoilage, maximize tax benefits, and reduce overall cost. The position requires extensive travel and will serve as primarily point of contacts for hotels. Position will also ensure that operational needs are effectively communicated to hotel and transportation partners on a monthly and quarterly basis and, as needed, provide contingency plans with irregularities arise. In addition to sourcing activities, the individual must be able to handle tactical contract management functions such as contract renewals, PO updates, and SLAperformance management. Individual must practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. Primary Functions Develop and manage RFP processes Identify and translate business requirements into business metrics, SLA's and other commercial terms for contract inclusion Write, negotiate, execute and manage contracts for the hotel category Coordinate completion of vendor onboarding and suppler risk assessment activities Participate in the development and execution of a category sourcing plan with a focus on annual savings through analysis of spend data and market research Collaborate with stakeholders at different business units and regions as well as suppliers to identify cost reduction opportunities - Effectively interact with all levels of internal and external management. Conduct market research and maintain a working knowledge of current business trends including industry changes, cost drivers, market conditions and economic indicators in order to develop sourcing strategies and timeline Supplier Relationship Management - Responsible for effective management of the strategic direction associated with suppliers. Establish and maintain good working relationships and keeps close contact with suppliers. Ensures that supplier performance supports Client's business needs and customer expectations.
