Market Intelligence/Strategy - Independently, conducts, coordinates and analyzes advanced market intelligence for external clients; Interpret market developments in asset management, global capital markets, regulatory developments for opportunities for international issuers. Develop investor targeting studies for specific companies, as well as, broader sector and industry studies. Conducts advanced analysis and reports results, often to senior client audiences. Liaises with client-facing staff in various areas of the Bank with research requests. Has an in-depth understanding of available data sources and can appropriately leverage internal and external systems, databases, etc. to explain market behaviors. Research often is in support of new business development and retention of existing clients. Maintains knowledge of competitor global service offerings and provides recommendations on how to improve the Bank's competitiveness. Works with relationship managers and product development to assess the market feasibility of new offerings to the market. Conducts client research, performs data mining, creates executive presentations, and creates databases. Leverages internal and external databases, public websites, and news outlets for purposes of data analysis, and aggregation. Determines possible strategies for specific client segments and engagement channels based on gathered insights. Manages research projects of moderate scope and coordinates findings into presentations for senior leaders. Liaison and advisor to assigned business areas, providing expertise on market environment and helping to develop client and business strategies. No direct reports. Provides work guidance to less experienced colleagues. Leads projects of limited scope. Project responsibilities extend beyond the team/area and may impact a business segment.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, with a master's degree highly desirable in marketing, business or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 7-10 years prior experience within any of the following fields; corporate access, Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) research, investor relations consultancy or in-house investor relations for a public company is strongly preferred. Background in depositary receipts as an investment vehicle is strongly preferred.
