Job Description Summary

The Senior Managing Director of Workplace Strategy is charged with the continued management, business development and growth of Cushman & Wakefield's Workplace Strategy team. This position focuses on C&W's Strategic Consultings Workplace Strategy offering. The leader of this position will helps clients to define their needs and then positions services to meet those needs by leveraging their team's existing consulting competencies, knowledge, and client relationships across the wider Consulting platform. This role will work to increase market competitiveness and overall sales in addition to leading the direction and development of their immediate team.

* Excellent written, oral, negotiating and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to represent a global organization to clients, the public, industry leaders, governmental agencies, and social organizations
* Demonstrated leadership skills, presentation skills, and boardroom presence skills
* Superior economic, financial, and quantitative problem solving skills
* Excellent understanding of business concepts and the ability to creatively apply these to varying client needs
* Exemplary relationship building, communication, and client management skills
* Exceptional time management and organizational skills; able to balance multiple priorities and projects

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

* Is a critical leader at sales presentations
* Uses internal and external relationships to expand the practice and generate increased sales
* Consistently provides high-value insights and guidance to clients, becoming a sought out partner by current and perspective clients
* Provide leadership and direction to key customer accounts and to major services initiatives
* Effectively influences senior clients and stakeholders
* Lead the design and pricing of new services for existing and potential clients
* Is successful at negotiating contracts and closing sales with clients
* Manages potential client conflict and assumes ultimate quality assurance regarding final product and its integration with the project fee structure
* Develop strategy for implementing innovative workplace strategy service offerings and operating infrastructure which increase potential for cross selling, deepening client relationships and growing existing business
* Builds a strong technical delivery team and develops systems to ensure the optimal market positioning of resources to strengthen the organization and grow the business
* Drives team members to expand consulting services to exceed client needs
* Proposes and advises on project pricing, staffing, and allocation of resources
* Actively expand service line in to new markets through public speaking engagements and educational events

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

* Bachelors and Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field

Previous Experience:

* 10-12+ years progressive consulting experience preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to travel from floor to floor, climb stairs, and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions. The employee may also be regularly required to remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time; regularly use hands to operate office machinery and regularly required to walk, talk, and hear.

This role may require regular travel.
