The Site Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the execution of the Arkema Inc. Organic Peroxide Sales and Operations plan which supports the BU Service Offer (sales plans and service expectations) at the lowest cost. This plan will be integrated with the global plans of the Functional Additives Business Unit and the Functional Additives Supply Chain Organization. Utilizing MRP and forecasting tools, executes the monthly production plan, determining the raw material and packaging requirements and ensures uninterrupted plan execution. Manages the planning and shipping coordination in alignment with the logistics strategy and the BU Service Offer. Tracks appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvement including but not limited to inventory management, on time shipping, and working capital.
Manages the planning and scheduling
  • Reviews Supply Chain production plan and creates SAP production orders through conversion of corrected planned orders and creates manpower schedule based on operators matrix of competencies
  • Reviews raw material and packaging requirements, corrects purchase requisition and converts planned raw material purchase requisitions to purchase requisitions
  • Communicates with procurement team to ensure raw materials and packaging are ordered and received in accordance with the established lead times and required delivery dates
  • Identifies key issues and imbalances and works with Supply Chain team to resolve
  • Generates weekly pack out schedule for each production building at product level
  • Coordinates HES label change requests to ensure proper packaging is available for production; includes vendor notification and tracking
Manages the site inventory:
  • Champions finished goods and raw material storage area maintenance, scheduling with site Maintenance Department, to avoid any Supply Chain disruption
  • Performs and/or monitors weekly inventory, utilizing cycle counting principles, for finished goods, raw materials, intermediates and packaging; ensures prompt resolution of discrepancies; adjusts SAP inventory as necessary
  • Monitors stock rotation of finished goods (FIFO) utilizing SAP tools
  • Executes Supply Chain plan to rework and/or dispose of inventory; coordinates with Environmental department for disposal quotes
Manages the shipping schedule & operations:
  • Monitors transportation schedule and communicates any shipping delays to operations/customer service
  • Manages all picking, packing and loading activities relating to finished goods, raw materials, packaging and intermediates
Safety Management:
  • Provides support and guidance in REACTS process as ECLM ; resolves issues and maintains reporting in IMPACT database
  • Provides plant DOT and forklift training as required to ensure regulatory compliance
Required Education/Qualifications/Work Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical/industrial engineering or supply chain operations management; APICS CPIM certification a plus
  • 5-7 years minimum of experience in manufacturing logistics with working knowledge of DOT regulations
  • Understanding of production reporting, inventory management processes and techniques and logistics processes and techniques
  • Excellent skills required in SAP, MRP/ATP knowledge; Proficiency in MS Office (Excel)
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills and decision making abilities, with the ability to determine appropriate priorities and work in a dynamic, multi-task environment
  • Ability to comfortably interact with multiple departments and management levels simultaneously
