Services include inpatient and outpatient care, primary care, community health and wellness, workplace health, home health, community mental health, rehabilitation, long-term care and hospice.OverviewRole PurposeSr Manager, Supply Chain Optimization is a critical role, ensuring BJC builds the correct E2E supply chain to achieve our growth and strategic plans. This role will collaborate with other leaders in Supply Chain and HSO roles to find and successfully execute on the right distribution network in the future yearsThis position will be responsible for ensuring our 3rd party logistics provider selects and designs our new facility as to best serve our needs. They will manage the migration of BJCs' total spend and customers through this centralized distribution center. They work with our transportation team to improve visibility to all freight modes and help secure cost reductions in parallel with the channel migration effort. In addition, they will lead a team of expert individual contributors as we upgrade our internal process and supporting systems to handle these transformation efforts.This manager will help drive an industry leading approach to healthcare supply chain, ensuring we exceed quality, service and cost targets while still providing excellent customer service. This would include additional effort to ensure we've optimized our distribution network across the entire value chain.ResponsibilitiesPartner with critical supply chain vendors to develop a future distribution center capable of supporting BJC's strategic plan, to include site selection, layout and design, process measurements and controls. Will also need to manage the migration of hundreds of suppliers from a direct to centralized distribution strategy.Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methodology to evaluate existing product and process flows and develop continuous improvement opportunities.Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of logistics processes, such as inventory management systems, transportation management systems and warehouse management systems.Develop best practices around network optimization using external carriers, courier network and internal fleet to significantly reduce waste in freight operations and lower cost improving on-time delivery. Will have direct responsibility for distribution budget of approximately $25M.Will develop talent pipeline to support HSO and Central Ops continual expansion. Will build and maintain a highly inclusive and engaged culture focusing on optimal organizational health.Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets.
