The Senior Manager of Title Services/New Growth & Development is a management position that reports to the Director, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement. The right candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced competitive and changing environment, while effectively collaborating and communicating in alignment with the Cox culture. His/her primary responsibility will be to develop comprehensive category strategies into actionable projects through the leadership and management of Title Services categories as well as New Growth and Development. This includes goods and services related to the vehicle reconditioning infrastructure, such as capital equipment.

Purpose (Overall Accountability)

The Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing, Title Services/New Growth & Development, will be a high energy leader with excellent executive presence. This role is responsible for leading a $100M+ buy. This includes the creation and adoption of sourcing strategies that ensure the most competitive value is achieved in strong collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. This hands-on leader is responsible for all aspects of sourcing events, including the identification of potential savings opportunities, understanding business requirements, developing category strategies, conducting market assessments, managing the souring process (including RFIs and RFPs), identifying Supplier participants and conducting Supplier capability and suitability assessments, performing analysis, performing negotiations and contract reviews, and presenting regular updates to the appropriate audiences. This Senior Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional teams to accomplish this and to ensure an implementation plan is developed and ready for execution.

The Senior Manager will also be responsible for ongoing Supplier evaluation and contract compliance. In addition, this position is expected to develop a deep understanding of our business, processes and procedures, and our internal stakeholders' objectives to develop strategies that meet their current and future needs as well as develop broad Supplier, product, and industry knowledge to provide sourcing expertise to internal customers. This leader will serve as a player-coach in this role (with one direct report).

A proven track record of strong leadership, business acumen, and strategic thinking in conjunction with an history of driving results are essential. The ability to build influential stakeholder relationships at a Senior level and excellent negotiating skills are an absolute must.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Oversight and management of $100M+ in spend.
Develop category strategies for Title Services & New Growth and Development in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
Establish category priorities based on opportunities and deliver on sourcing execution plan.
Lead the development and implementation of negotiation strategies.
Collaborate with business on the development of New Products and associated business cases, primarily within Automotive remarketing.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies to support various stages in the product development Lifecyle from Evaluation to Go - Live. This shall include assisting with the process of identifying and qualifying Suppliers to meet specific requirements.
Contribute to the development of new product as working member of the team and provide required contracting support to execute pilots and various scopes of work.
Partner with business to develop and execute Enterprise-wide, Vehicle Title Management strategies with a focus on people, process, and technology optimization.
Work with various boundary partners to leverage current capabilities with respect to Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), and shipping and logistics.
Partner with Vehicle Recon team to develop, source, and manage capital equipment category end-to-end. This may include goods and services related to the vehicle reconditioning infrastructure, such as air compressors, paint booths, vacuum systems, hydraulic lifts, vehicle ramps, wheel balancers, tire changers, and EV chargers.
Lead Supplier qualification and establish performance management for category (performance metrics).
Optimize supply base moving towards the right number of suppliers for the categories.
Recognize and act upon supplier development opportunities (potential new, relevant suppliers).
Develop Supplier relationship management strategies and own Supplier relationships for defined categories.
Manage overall sourcing process and ensure supplier diversity is a key part of the process.
Work closely with field personnel in addressing any issues that may arise as a result of Supplier selection and/or pricing.
Lead and develop relationships at the Executive level
Maintain awareness of macro-economic factors that directly impact overall procurement costs including services (labor) and material costs. Identify and extract value opportunities.
Stays abreast of industry trends for assigned categories. Provide guidance and recommendations to business units in order to support margin and top-line growth.
Work with the stakeholders and Strategic Sourcing & Procurement leadership to identify improvement opportunities through industry leading practices, external benchmarks, and internal best practices.
Work with the Contract Management teams to resolve any compliance issues.
Attract, hire, and retain top talent to ensure appropriate succession planning.
Lead, coach and develop direct reports to ensure strong performance and build high performing teams; including target setting, performance review, training, and career development.
Drive employee engagement by ensuring the right people are in the right roles
Accountable for ensuring proper onboarding/offboarding, performance planning, coaching, and evaluation of team resources in accordance with company policies.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:

Minimum 6 years of sourcing/procurement experience with 3+ years in a people management role.
A leader with strong people management skills and the ability to manage several complex projects at a time through resources possessing varying skills sets.
Ability to identify opportunities and take necessary actions to continuously improve our value proposition for our customers.
Strong analytics, reporting, and financial acumen skills.
Knowledge of key strategic sourcing processes & best practices.
Proven experience leading, directing, and reviewing the work of a team of direct reports.
Ability to solve problems that are difficult and vague, requiring consideration of other job areas and a greater diversity of issues addressed.
The ability to communicate and collaborate with other functions, regions and departments within the Cox family of companies in alignment with Cox values and culture.

Preferred qualifications:

University degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
Master's degree in Business or related field a plus
Certification in Supply Chain Management (ISM), CPM or related.
Project Management certification (PMP), Lean or Six Sigma training.
Industry knowledge preferred
Prior consulting experience a plus
