As we continue to progress multiple oncology assets into the clinic and explore new indications for Libtayo, we are seeking a Senior Director, Market Access Strategy, to lead the market access planning for these assets.
The Senior Director, Market Access Strategy, Oncology, will
(1) Lead the market access strategic planning for Libtayo* indications that are in development
(2) Lead launch readiness and execution for Libtayo* [ex-US only]
(3) Lead the market access strategy development for oncology pipeline assets (except for Regn-1979)
*Libtayo responsibilities will be in conjunction with our alliance partner
This role requires a skilled strategist who has experience and expertise to optimize the direction for the assets and incorporate a portfolio approach. The individual will become a key partner within the commercial and R&D organizations, bringing an increased understanding of US and global market access requirements to the organization and integrating timely payer perspectives in marketing and clinical development activities and decisions. This is a highly collaborative role that must work cohesively with pricing, HEOR, medical affairs, US market access, clinical, marketing, as well as, our alliance partner for Libtayo. Further, the candidate will have frequent interactions with senior leaders across the organization and must be able to build relationships, communicate effectively, and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
As a Senior Director, you will be expected to play a leadership role within the organization and department. You will mentor less experienced team members and partner with cross functional colleagues to ensure we are successful together.
Lead market access strategic planning for assets in the oncology pipeline (except REGN-1979)
Advise clinical development and new products marketing team options for early engagement with HTA authorities and provide recommendations, then execute on recommendations
Lead market access projects that support the execution for a successful global launch (e.g. global value proposition, objection handlers, launch readiness tactics)
Support affiliates in the preparation of reimbursement dossiers and ensure timely, cross functional input on requests from payers throughout the reimbursement process
Partner with medical affairs, clinical, and medical analytics to ensure that post hoc analysis requests are collected from affiliates, generated in time for reimbursement submissions/meetings, and have synergy with ongoing evidence generation plans, where possible
Analyze trends and/or changes in the global market access environment, including competitors, to determine the implications for Libtayo and other oncology pipeline assets
Co-lead the development of the price and access strategy to ensure that access to the target patient population is reflected in pricing decisions
Integrate payer evidence needs into the clinical development program for future indications; identify potential evidence gaps and ensure a plan to address any gaps
Partner with new products marketing, clinical and regulatory on evidence requirements and ensure tight linkage to timely delivery of data commitments to affiliates and partners
Develop annual tactical plans and manage project budgets and vendors
- Relevant career experience of 12+ years, ideally 15+
- Must have at least 5 of those years as in house progressive pharmaceutical experience. This can be a mix of US/global marketing, US/global commercial strategy, US/market access.
- Must have at least 3 years in a global market access role/function
- Has led a global launch in market access
- Has led a US launch in market access
- Must have specialty drug experience of 4+ years (this can include oncology)
- At least 1 year oncology experience
- At least 3 years covering pipeline market access responsibilities for assets
Solid knowledge and experience building successful market access plans for key global payer systems (e.g. US, FRA, GER, UK)
Track record of building productive work relationships with internal stakeholders
Demonstrated initiative, critical thinking skills, and an ability to work effectively in complex, evolving environments
Strong project and process management skills; ability to work on multiple tasks and to effectively prioritize
Previous experience leading a matrix team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor's degree required (ideally in statistics); advanced degree strongly preferred
