Senior Director, HR Business Partner - South San Francisco , California, United States, 94080

SUMMARY:The Senior Director, HR Business Partner will report to the Executive Director, HRBP & Head of Recruitment. This role will partner with members of the Executive Committee as well as leaders across the organization. This HR leader will contribute to formulating, streamlining, and implementing innovative competitive talent and people strategies to guide MyoKardia through a period of significant growth and change. These programs, aligned with MyoKardia's core values and business objectives, will foster the Company's unique character and ensure a culture of high-performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

HR Business Partner:
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to Executive Committee member(s) and other senior leaders to develop a broad-based and transformational talent agenda to achieve MyoKardia's long term vision
  • Participate and contribute on organizational design and key talent decisions providing input on the immediate and longer term business needs
  • Support organizational change and development, influencing leaders to address complex organizational design issues to ensure business success
  • Partner with leaders to develop and execute best practices to promote talent management and employee engagement
  • Identify leading indicators of employee trends and be innovative in helping develop appropriate solutions


Organization Effectiveness:
  • Apply technical expertise (i.e., Organization Design, Workforce Planning, Change Management) knowledge of the business, and environment, and situation specific analysis in developing solutions to address organizational and people-related challenges


Organization Design & Development
  • Influence change and innovation that advance the business
  • Assess gaps between the desired state and current state of the business and influence the development and implementation of strategies to close the gaps
  • Leverage HR tools, metrics, and data to influence organization behavior and change


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
  • 12+ years of progressive HR experience as a strategic business partner
  • Biopharma industry experience and track record for partnering with senior executives; experience supporting Development executives preferred
  • BA or BS degree; advanced degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Effectiveness, or MBA strongly preferred

  • Proven success in team building, conflict resolution, and negotiation; ability to liaise and build consensus between management and staff
  • Adept at anticipating emerging human resources issues and designing and implementing strategies and tactics to address them
