The Senior Director, Global Compensation Consulting will lead the compensation consulting function. Working directly with leaders and HR business partners, this key leader will consult to and integrate with Cox Automotive businesses by assisting with the building and developing of the strategy and design for broad-based compensation programs to support the company's goals and ensure they are consistent with competitive market practices. * Lead efforts to assess current programs and create and build new, best-in-class compensation programs that address the needs of our workforce. * Contribute to the development of the Total Rewards strategy and design across all businesses and functions; via collaboration with leaders and stakeholders assuring internal equity and external competitiveness. * Partner and consult to HR Business Partners, recruiters and management by providing recommendations on compensation programs and practices in support of the strategic direction of the business. * Lead, guide and direct the deployment of the company's compensation programs, including salary structures, variable pay and other incentive programs to ensure alignment with the company's goals, initiatives and budget. Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to improve engagement. * Drive the development of holistic compensation programs. Work to define best practices and integrate disparate programs to create a centralized platform. * Partner with global rewards partner to assist with international compensation projects, as needed. * Lead a team performing analytical studies in a variety of compensation segments, i.e. internal vs. external equity, competitive pay practices, incentive compensation and emerging trends. Recommend and implement policy, program and/or compensation changes accordingly. * Ensure compensation programs, practices and policies comply with local, state, federal and country laws. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws including FLSA. * Lead a team of compensation professionals who are consulting to the business on compensation best practices. * Bachelor's degree required. * 10+ years of broad-based compensation experience including proven experience with programs, practices and principals as well as senior-level leadership in the area of total rewards. * Possess high energy level and intellectual curiosity to handle complex issues regarding compensation programs, policies, implementation plans and accompanying communications. * Experience building and implementing compensation systems. * Experience working in global company on international compensation design is a strong plus. * Expert knowledge of compensation laws, including federal and state wage and hour laws including FLSA. * Experience in consulting/professional services environment a strong plus. * Ability to build collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization. * Proven experience implementing change within a dynamic organization. * Possess strong analytical, problem-solving and quantitative skills. * Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with senior leadership. * Lead through influence at all organizational levels; possess the ability to coach. * Significant experience in compensation design required.
