The AM Strategy Team is based in New York, London and Hong Kong and partners with senior management across AM to deliver on their most important business strategies, analyzing business performance, measuring return on investments, and enhancing productivity and efficiency. Projects include both strategic analysis and business improvement projects. This role will focus on AM but may occasionally work on projects spanning the entire Asset and Wealth Management (AWM) line of business and/or broader JPMC projects as well.

Role Profile
We are recruiting a Senior Associate based in New York. This person will be responsible for leading high-priority initiatives while developing and mentoring junior colleagues. Projects will include strategic analysis, M&A strategic fit analysis, and business improvement projects that lead to profitable growth. This person will be expected to plan, design, and successfully execute solutions that impact the business and deliver results, while building strong relationships with senior management.

Program Leadership/Management
  • Managing several efforts simultaneously across a range of functions, business and organizational units
  • Identifying and bringing together the right stakeholders, resources, content experts and decision makers to meet goals
  • Developing program charters, business cases, project plans, team structure, and governance models

Analysis & Problem Solving
  • Driving clear analysis, logical structuring and creative problem solving on critical issues
  • Assessing risks, costs, and benefits of alternative decisions and approaches
  • Designing processes and tools that yield sustainable improvement and return on investment

Communication & Relationships
  • Building relationships with internal clients and external stakeholders
  • Clearly articulating program goals and status to stakeholders and collaborators
  • Escalating critical issues with a focus on resolution
Work Experience and Education

  • Required - must have substantial experience working at a top management consulting firm or within an internal Strategy function at a financial services firm, including at least 1 year as an engagement manager / project manager / case manager, in practice or in title
  • Demonstrated high level of performance
  • Experience in financial services required, with asset management (institutional and retail) preferred
  • MBA or equivalent advanced business degree preferred

  • Strong quantitative skills, particularly designing complex models
  • Ability to build consultative relationships with senior management, working closely with them and becoming a trusted partner for thinking strategically about the business
