Procurement Sourcing Consultant Responsibilities Create andor define legal, technical, andor business interpretations and definitions of contract parameters to meet customer expectations. Develop contract terms and lead negotiation strategies to ensure optimal pricing and other related contract conditions. Mediate and resolve escalated problems, complex contractual disputes, and noncompliance issues. Analyze cost and usage history to identify and implement potential savings opportunities. Maintain competitive market data on relevant industries, and recommend newdifferent solutions or vendors to enhance current services or items, or to secure optimum pricing. Draft and lead contract negotiations and facilitate RFP's as needed. Heavy focus on Contracts and Contract Negoiation Core Competencies RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT The ability to leverage interpersonal skills to establish rapport, develop relationships, and influence behavior with all key stakeholders suppliers, business partners, and colleagues. PROJECT MANAGEMENT Drive the procurement process by leading the design and implementation of individual engagements. Includes establishing accountability for suppliers, business partners, and colleagues, as well timelines that successfully conclude engagements. NEGOTIATION SKILLS The ability to persuade, influence and explore positions and alternatives to reach outcomes that will gain acceptance of all parties and will meet MM's strategic procurement objectives (i.e., risk management, savings, etc.). ANALYTICAL SKILLS The ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts and make decisions that make sense based on all available information. Particularly important in the selection of vendors. FINANCIAL ACUMEN The ability to apply a broad understanding of financial management principals and other quantitative information to ensure decisions are fiscally responsible and based on company budget priorities. APTITUDE FOR TECHNOLOGY The ability to apply and improve extensive or in-depth specialized knowledge, skills, and judgement by assessing and translating information technology into responsive and effective procurement solutions. RESULTS-FOCUSED The ability and drive to achieve and surpass targets against an internal or external standard(s) of excellence.
