JOB POURPOSE Responsible for developing local strategic purchasing for technical/hotel and/or F&B related items for the US based vessels as well as improving local purchasing processes and procedures. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES •Creates strategic local sourcing programs for technical/hotel and/or F&B items while working with key stakeholders in multiple countries to establish a holistic plan with specific sub-category planning;•Develops a bidding project for each product area which includes a list of suppliers, strategies, expected goals and timing;•Negotiates with external providers to obtain best commercial agreements, including preferential payment and INCO terms while continuing to establish commercial relations with local providers;•Implements the use of the eProcurement Platform (PEP) for all procurement activities in the US as well as establishes appropriate processes and procedures to ensure full compliance post implementation;•Implements a sourcing strategy based upon the best practices of MSC to identify the right products and suppliers in terms of value, delivery, schedules and quality and provides a clear comparison and analysis for the best quality/prices while ensuring brand performance;•Establishes KPI's and reporting tool for suppliers focused on continuous improvement using facts and numbers;•Manages the flow of all product and service requisitions while constantly reviewing stock and expected deliveries to ensure that optimum arrangements are in place without any negative impact to operations. JOB REQUIREMENTS •Fluent English (knowledge of a European language is preferred but not essential);•BS in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration. Masters in Accounting, Economics or Supply Chain a plus;•5+ years of experience in similar role;•Shoreside based role with approximately 15% travel; •0ffice 365 with emphasis in Excel•Very strong communication and negotiation skills;•Proven knowledge of international trade, imports, legal awareness and management;•Strong leadership skills;•Strong knowledge of the industry and market.
