Leads sourcing contract negotiations and contractadministration for a large quantity of highly complex contracts with a focus inIT Consulting. Determines solutions and actions in response to contract asksand identifies contracting issues. May review and revise solutions suggested bymore junior team members. Supports the development of demand-side processimprovements in support of global contract implementation. Assists with theimplementation of the global sourcing strategy and ensures more junior rolesare in alignment. Uses category knowledge to represents sourcing in stakeholderand business partner meetings focused on the assigned categories. Solicits andevaluates proposals; negotiates purchase terms. Leads sourcing contract negotiationsin multiple highly complex categories on a daily basis. Contract negotiationsmay have an impact on the company's divisions worldwide. Independently reviewsand analyzes contract asks, effectively communicates requirements anddetermines solutions and actions in response to contract asks. May evaluatesolutions and actions proposed by more junior team members using extensiveindustry experience and advise on improvements. Serves as the lead fornegotiations with all contracting parties. Contracts and contract negotiationsare of the highest complexity and global in nature. May advise and coach morejunior team members on contract negotiation improvements. Assists with theimplementation of the global sourcing strategy across the company's divisionsworldwide. Conducts highly complex research to support contract negotiationsand compiles findings into an appropriate, intuitive format. May reviewfindings compiled by more junior Sourcing roles for accuracy and legibility andadvises on improvements. Leads contract administration for a large quantity ofhighly complex contracts in multiple categories, including NDAs, complexagreements, SOWs and terminations, among others. Identifies complex contractingissues and implements solutions. Supports the development of demand-sideprocess improvements in support of global contract implementation and inalignment with the overall sourcing strategy. Maintains a wealth of categoryknowledge across multiple highly complex categories. Represents the Senior SourcingDirector in stakeholder and business partner meetings focused on thesecategories, as needed. Solicits and evaluates proposals and negotiates purchaseterms in alignment with the global sourcing strategy. No direct reports.Provides guidance to more junior staff. Contributes to the achievement ofglobal objectives. Modified based upon local regulations/requirements.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. Business or Supply Chain degree preferred. Advanced degree preferred. 10-12 years of total work experience preferred; understanding of procurement and sourcing processes and practices for the specific categories preferred; demonstrated experience managing large, complex projects and spend categories preferred; demonstrated experience negotiating successful results preferred.
