Enterprise Business Technology Architecture Strategy Group is responsible for architecture for all corporate support functions of the bank (Enterprise Risk, Enterprise Finance, Enterprise Marketing, HR, Legal, Team Member Technology etc...). EBT Architecture is responsible for developing technology strategy, solutions architecture, technology guidance, standards decisions, and architecture governance. As part of the transformative changes occurring at Wells Fargo, we are transforming the role to include a more active and extensive part in ensuring that the recommendations that are made and are carried through to completion and have the continuous support throughout projects to ensure proper architecture leadership. This position is responsible for setting key strategic architecture direction and multi-year roadmap for large critical initiatives such as Enterprise Customer Remediation etc... The role will be accountable for architecture standards compliance, architecturetechnology simplification and consistency working closely with the business partners, CTO and Application managers. This leader will be responsible for aligning architecture to enterprise standards and comply with EBT architecture practices and patterns. This leader must work cross organizationally at senior levels to establish, maintain and govern all architecture aspects of the domain. This responsibility includes enabling a cross-section of enterprise resources collaborate effectively to ensure standards, policies and regulatory soundness initiatives are being enhanced and improved enterprise wide. This accountability will ensure that we enhance our Risk Regulatory practices are continuously assessed to protect Wells Fargo's technology environment while also improving our efficiency and effectiveness to deliver Wells Fargo products to market faster. Critical success factors include the ability to lead effectively in a matrixed organization, developing partnerships with many business and functional areas, and having a strong execution and delivery, Relationship management and influencing skills. A successful candidate will be able to build strong partnerships across all parts of EIT, take initiative to discover and resolve problems, operate with ease in partially defined and competing needs and be comfortable interfacing with team members at all levels within the organization. Successful candidate will also have proven ability to navigate through ambiguity and maintain momentum driving for results and clarity in unclear situations and proven experience in handling issue management and conflict resolution successfully. Can anticipate emerging issues and develop strategies to mitigate risks and remediate issues. Other responsibilities include Assess business strategy, and current state technology landscape and develop and maintain target state architecture aligning to all enterprise standards and practices such as data, application security, platform simplification strategies. Lead and manage architecture for key enterprise programs. Defining, plan, develop major IT strategies, processes for on-going programs with broad cross technology impact. Provide architectural thought leadership and apply innovative architecture patterns in effective and efficient way meeting business and regulatory priorities. Develop standard architecture patterns for application integration and data exchange. The preferred work location is Charlotte, NC. Preference will be given to those candidates that either currently live in or are willing to relocate to Charlotte, NC with limited to no relocation assistance. Required Qualifications 12+ years of technology experience 5+ years of strategic planning in a technology environment 3+ years of leadership experience in a technology environment 10+ years of architectural design and planning experience 10+ years of SOA (Services Oriented Architecture) experience 10+ years of BPM development experience 5+ years of management experience Desired Qualifications Experience managing large or multiple technology development efforts within a major line of business Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management 10+ years of experience leading solution architecture projects 5+ years of experience managing senior architects 4+ years of experience in data architecture and strategy Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams Financial services industry experience Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills A BSBA degree or higher Other Desired Qualifications 12+ years combined technical and business experience 12+ years of experience in architecture and design of complex system software 10+ years of experience creating solutions Experience in delivering architecture for large regulatory programs.
