Manager of Data Transformation, Financial Services ndash Los Angeles, CA ndash Base + Bonus + Stock One of the top management consultancy firms in the US have built out a new innovation centre for finance and risk which offers data driven solutions to address risk issues in banking, insurance and capital markets domains. They are looking to hire a Manager to be based in either San Francisco or Los Angeles to lead the overall delivery, manage day to day delivery activities and provide solution support, issue and risk management. You will be delivering a range of projects such as building out data lakes, big data implementations, data governance projects, all within the financial services space. What Will I Be Doing? Lead overall delivery, manage day to day delivery activities and provide solution support, issue and risk management and communication to leadership and external bodies on overall status Lead project teams engaged in business data lineage, data mapping, data governance and data profiling activities Advise clients on a wide range of data management solutions develop and manage relationships as a trusted advisor to senior executives, with an eye towards qualifying potential opportunities Define target states of technical and functional reporting analytics design. Identify current gaps and lead corrective efforts Maintain an understanding of advancements in technology and innovations which are happening across Data Management and broader financial services marketplace What Experience Do I Need? 5+ years experience working in management consultancy focused on Financial Services industry Prior experience dealing with large data sets, change initiatives, and capturing current statetarget state design in functional andor technical capacity Knowledge of risk data-related regulatory requirements and trends, such as Basel, BCBS239, CCAR Familiarity with Risk Technology and Master Data Management Vendor Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance or other quantitative discipline.
