Manager Personal Systems (PS) Strategy - Business Insights - San Diego, California, United States, 92101

Background As part of Personal Systems (PS) business strategy team, this role will leverage experience in management consulting or prior corporatebusiness strategy role(s) to influence the strategic direction of a highly dynamic 30B+ business. This role will support identifying and evaluating sources of growth for PS, developing strategies to achieve long-term financial goals, assessing organic and inorganic opportunities, and aligning the organization on its key priorities. This role will work closely with the Senior Manager and Director of Strategy Planning and PS executives and support them in making strategic decisions. Responsibilities Help develop Personal Systems portfolio strategy - evaluate choice points and optimize investment strategy in existing and new business areas with a goal to maximize overall shareholder value Conduct strategic deep dives in new and emerging business areas - Mobility, Cloud, Services, Internet-of-Things, Analytics, Immersive Computing - with the objective of accelerating growth in chosen areas of investment Build sound, executable business plans to enter new business areas Support annual strategic RD review and long-term planning process that establishes business financial plans for 1-3 years Provide strategic advice to PS executives regarding targeted growth, operational efficiency, and capital strategy initiatives Conduct regular analysis of industry trends, competitive threats, expansion opportunities and internal performance Help craft communication of PS portfolio and business strategy to various stakeholders (Employees, Corporate, Board, Investors) Drive independent analysis to get to so what-s and develop executive ready slides Education and Experience Required 5+ years total experience Management consulting experience highly desired growth strategy and operations consulting experience, advising and coaching senior executives Demonstrated quantifiable results of leading business strategy projects at a corporatebusiness level demonstrated ability to deliver results with large-scale, cross-functional teams Led small consulting teams at a Strategy consulting firm or Fortune 500 company Experience in technology industries preferred MBA highly desired, or advanced university degree.
