IT Architecture Strategy Automation Specialist (SR1296) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States, 87101


SAIC is seeking an individual to support the Enterprise Architecture (EA) team in its implementation of ITIL practices, Solutions Delivery Lifecycle, and consulting across service teams. The selected candidate will work with all levels of staff and management to support the EA team project work, assist with implementing process improvements, assist IT services in the use of the processes and with standard metrics that demonstrate delivery of value, and provide training in various forms. The individual participates in following formal project management principles to deliver toward larger goals and will be a champion for quality practices across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Project and O&M work as prioritized by project team lead
  • Ability to explain ideas/concepts to those who don't understand; provide training
  • Support projects as a team member and technical developer
  • Develop, test and implement code for automation across multiple applications
  • Develop training for custom solutions as need arises
  • Support IT Service Management SME
  • Support IT Architecture Strategy projects
  • Administrate Confluence Site and pages


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management of Information Systems, or relevant discipline or 4 years or more experience in lieu of degree
  • ITIL Foundations Certified
  • Minimum 1-year demonstrated experience providing project, training, or operational support for an IT organization
  • Minimum 1-year experience leading or participating in IT improvement implementation projects
  • Minimum 1- year experience with defining, gathering, analyzing and reporting data in an IT organization
  • Experience in using the BMC ITSM software suite or similar Ticket Tracking software
  • Ability to be self-directed, manage work that might not be distinctly defined, ability to multi-task
  • Minimum 1-year experience providing stand up trained in the area(s) of IT such as Service Management (ITIL)
  • Proven track record of working projects to completion
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L level security clearance

Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related IT/Business field
  • Basic ability to write SQL, primarily used to select data from within the BMC software
  • Familiarity with Confluence as a user and/or administrator
  • Digital Workplace Workflow development
  • JavaScript coding
  • BMC Developer Studio
  • BMC Junior Developer
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues
