Enterprise Strategy Vice President - Akron , Ohio, United States, 44301

In close partnership with others, the Enterprise Strategy VP and his/her team will have responsibility for driving goalsetting across all three dimensions of sustainable value - economic, environmental and social; stewarding the development of enterprise strategy, near term, mid-range, and longer term; ensuring strong enterprise processes are in place to drive and measure execution; and deploying communications with internal and external stakeholders to both share our aspirations and report on our achievements. S(he) will report to the President and Chief Executive Officer.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a top-tier consulting firm (Engagement Manager, Principal or Partner Level) as well as experience in a senior strategy or general management role at an operating company. S(he) will have led large, complex projects, managed teams of at least 10 people, and worked with senior executive teams and Boards of large private and/or public companies. Education and Experience:
Bachelor degree required. Master of Business Administration strongly preferred. Ten (10) or more years of experience required working in fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities and deliverables. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Experience at a top tier management consulting firm preferred. Significant Business-To-Business (B2B) experience required.
Multiple market segment and commercial distribution experience a plus. Networking, collaboration, and consensus building skills; penchant for working across many work groups, interacting with individuals across all levels throughout organization, building alliances and influencing decision makers with sound strategic thinking. Excellent analytical skills combined with ability to synthesize diverse inputs into meaningful insights; comfort with quantitative and financial data. Strong team builder and cross functional boundary spanner. Courage and conviction to champion actions that are best for the long-term health of the organization, rather than those which are easy or politically expedient. Big picture, strategic thinker, creativity, intellectual curiosity and love of learning. Exceptional communication skills. Demonstrated ability to develop strategy in a team-based, cross-functional environment.
