We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company.

  • Facilitate implementation of procurement change initiatives across procurement and within categories to improve business performance including end to end processes such as Procure to Pay
  • Pro-actively identify risks, opportunities, and solutions to Senior Procurement Leadership
  • Drive cost savings, cost containment, continuous improvement, and budget optimization for your categories under direction of Senior Procurement Leadership
  • Help facilitate the development, implementation and maintenance of processes, policies, guidelines and Standard Operating and Desk Top Procedures
  • Manage the day to day business relationships and performance of partner suppliers
  • Following the outlined protocol from Senior Procurement Leadership, drive strategic sourcing process including spend analytics, supply market analysis, supplier evaluation and selection, contract negotiation and supplier performance management for your categories
  • Ensure the business is provided with proactive analysis, options, and recommendations for supplier selection for both new and expiring contracts
  • Establish, communicate, and implement department plans, objectives, and strategies
  • Strong Contract Negotiation Expertise: Negotiate terms and conditions for Supplier Contracts (use of contract templates, ability to review and redline contracts, work with legal, business and the supplier to get alignment on mutually agreeable terms for the business to maximize value and mitigate risk)
  • Ensure adherence to Procurement policies and procedures (SOP's) that are actively maintained and enforced
  • For categories under your responsibility, coordinate and direct all Operational Excellence Savings for categories under you direction.
  • Direct and Manage a Senior Buyer (transactional/Requisitions) and Category Manager to assist in execution of strategy, RFP's, and projects
  • 5-10+ years' work experience in operations, supply chain or procurement
  • Solid understanding of procurement strategy development and strategic sourcing, category management leadership (CMLC), total cost of ownership (TCO), contract management, supplier risk management, RFPs, Project Management, and ERP Tools
  • Previous team management and leadership experience
  • Experience with analysis regarding budgeting, forecasting, budget, expense, inventory, and controls
  • experience helping to mature and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and (Continuous Improvement/Process/Technology) Roadmaps
  • Experience in Procurement and Category Management
  • Excellent communication and strong collaboration skills

  • Ability to do data and analytics
  • Must be sharp, deadline focused, and highly motivated
  • Strong operations/supply chain background to support multiple manufacturing facilities a plus.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and budgeting. JD Edwards/AS400 system knowledge and advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills including the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization and use influence skills to obtain cooperation and support across multiple departments and functions within the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform well in a team environment. Must successfully demonstrate the desire to share ideas, be cooperative, and express a positive and supportive attitude.
  • Understanding of logistics, production planning and product pricing concepts.
  • The individual should possess strong project management and analytical skills including problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Procurement, Operations, Project Management/Supply Chain Management Certifications a plus
