The MIS Content Product Strategy & Marketing team is responsible for managing and growing Moody’s Research, Data and Analytics Content business. We are looking for a motivated individual with strong knowledge and expertise on research content to oversee the CreditView research portfolio of products, the flagship product of Moody’s.com. The Senior Product Strategist will be responsible for the vision and implementation of strategic projects across Moody’s Corporation to meet the evolving research needs of credit risk practitioners and deliver against the objectives for the business. The individual will lead multiple initiatives spanning across functional teams and multiple business lines with responsibility for: new research designs; advancement and governance of the research framework and associated content model; development, implementation, launch and monitoring of investments in advanced research delivery capabilities.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Providing leadership and vision in managing the portfolio of Research products, developing strategies to grow revenues and manage expenses of content research offerings

• Leading a small team to drive all aspects of the Research content offerings, including new and enhanced products and features, pricing, packaging and positioning

• Partnering in the delivery of high profile projects across multiple functions, divisions and capability sets, including managing & overseeing activities within the team

• Leading and managing key internal and external business partnerships to drive the Research offering forward against annual plans and strategic vision

• Leading and managing the integrity of the Research content model and governance framework in partnership with Moody’s Investors Service

• Being the subject matter expert on Credit Research content, managing the creation, design, re-design, publication, display and distribution of research content and products

• Defining the product strategy and co-ordinating its implementation by overseeing the content and product development teams, consisting of technology and product management resources from product specification and development to roll out and maintenance

• Anticipating and implementing necessary operational infrastructure to manage and support the dynamics of product expansion and to ensure the operational integrity of new content offerings including, content classification & organization structure

• Sourcing and analysing market feedback on Moody’s Research products and services

• Establishing and managing market relationships to ensure in-depth customer and market knowledge and engagement

• Overseeing competitive developments and developing strategic responses as a result

• Maintaining yearly sales forecasts and business plans and monitoring sales and business performance (including user impact and key performance indicators) at all times

• Providing training and support across the organization, educating customers, sales force, marketing and customer support teams around new products and capabilities at team meetings and on product roadshows

• Building investment cases to support long term strategic plans, including business plans and roadmaps for new products

• Communicating solutions, strategies and financial impact to senior management and key internal stakeholders to obtain buy-in

• Representing Moody’s at investor meetings, company- sponsored events and third party conferences.

• Overseeing development/ provision of collateral materials to support customer and market engagement and drive growth

• Supporting the assessment of new and emerging opportunities to grow the Research business, including potential acquisitions and partnerships

Qualifications

• MBA and Undergraduate degree (Bachelors) required in business related discipline

• Strong background working with research content, content management systems and content metadata

• Extensive strategic experience, preferably gained in Strategy Consulting or other Financial Services environment

• Significant experience in Product Management, Product Development or Strategic Planning

• Strong understanding of global fixed income/ credit markets; ability to train and learn quickly in areas with little prior experience

• Demonstrable experience of leadership and development

• Proven ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally; ability to move projects forward through people not under immediate management

• Experience in managing a team effectively and driving change

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills (including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point)

• Excellent presentation and public speaking skills

• Highly organised with excellent time management skills; ability to manage many competing priorities for the team effectively and work independently
