Summary of Position

The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis / Strategy is responsible for delivering financial analysis and strategic input to support decision making across the business, including marketing, procurement, culinary, technology and operations. This person will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data and presenting recommendations to develop and optimize programs to support company strategy. The role will dive into pricing and marketing strategy, promotional analysis, new product / platform development and technology innovation analysis. It is a highly collaborative position and will work closely with c-level management as well as support private equity owner Golden Gate Capital.

Overall Responsibilities and Duties

* Analytical and strategic support for marketing and new product / platform initiatives (development, testing, optimization, implementation) to drive both growth and ROI

* Lead test & learn objectives across the organization for measurement of company initiatives, including optimal test set-up, ongoing measurement, recommendations for optimization and financial impacts of implementation

* Pricing strategy development and implementation

* New product development and product mix analysis

* Analytical support for marketing activities, including advertising, promotions and loyalty, and technology innovations, both consumer facing and back office

* Development of content for executive and Board of Director presentations


Education, Training, and Work Experience

* Bachelor degree with a concentration in business, finance or strategy; advanced degree desired

* 5+ years finance / strategy experience, management consulting or investment banking preferred; restaurant and/or retail experience preferred but not required

* Experience working with private equity a plus

* Excellent analytical and modeling skills, in-depth experience with financial statement analysis and a strong understanding of corporate finance and strategy concepts

* Extensive knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to computer terminals. The noise level and temperature is moderate. The employee has the ability to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours a day. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend or kneel, lift up to 40 lbs. and perform other diverse physical tasks as needed. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
