The Director of Content Strategy, develops a holistic content strategy across marketing channels and in-store customer experiences. In this role, the Director translates the brand promise to our customers. Responsible for enabling a seamless consumer journey through all marketing touchpoints. Orchestrates the process of translating a detailed integrated marketing calendar into clearly defined design, content and development tasks, across web, direct mail and retail store environments. Evangelizes the importance of delivering omni-channel communication plans that utilize content best practices and data-driven testlearn opportunities. Ensures the consumer is at the center of every decision and action taken within the marketing communications process. Accountable for all the activities within the creative and content development team. Manage and mentor an internal team to produce content that is both highly engaging to consumers and constantly evolving and on-brand. Implements planning solutions to meet brand strategies and instills a culture of agility and efficiency. Reports to the VP of Jared brand to align and execute on business goals and amplify the brand. Manage the marketingcommunications agency of record and maintain quality performance, budget targets and deadlines to deliver outstanding content across our web site, display, and social media. Key Responsibilities Define and manage how to drive growth in brand audience and engagement through dynamic, always-on content (and storytelling) that reflects a macro corporate brandtonevoice, as well as more nuanced and diverse micro-brands. Set a content vision for Serve as the editorial partner to our merchandising team Deep knowledge of the paid media landscape and how it can help drive engagement and awareness for a brand. Ability to use performance analytics to swiftly pivot strategies as-need to optimize performance of content, particularly around paid media efforts. Assumes the significant role to manage the curation and production of content including the maintenance of a content deployment calendar and content productiondeployment across all required owned and paid media channels. Oversees, manages, and prioritizes project workflow from scopingbriefing to final execution and secures the resources required (internal, external or a combination) to deliver the creative product with excellence, cost efficiency and within the timeframe required. Partner with marketing, design, product merchandisingdevelopment to ensure cohesive execution of content strategy and integrated marketing campaigns, site promotions, product launches, etc. Commit to continuous product and delivery innovation. Identify, lead and develop teams, manage processes, establish and educate on best practices to drive end creative product. Operates as a liaison between creative development teams, content stakeholders, outside agencies and internal teams to coordinate campaigns and ensure that the work produced matches the brief. Maintain a level of product knowledge to ensure product information is accurate. Plugged into the crowded advertising landscape and understands the nuances of traditional broadcast in addition to digital long-form and short-form content across all active platforms. Assist with the definition of next-generation page architecture content feature requirements for core website pages working with internal development team and other stakeholders. Coordinate with SEO Analyst and development team to ensure content is SEO optimized. Selection Criteria 7+ years in a marketing communications role with a strong knowledge of content marketing across web, blog, video and social channels, preferably for a B2C ecommerce retailer. Agency and client-side experience preferred. Digitally savvy - a true digital athlete Experience managing an agency. Experience with Agile management and processes Data-driven marketer with strong analytical skills to influence future content decisions. Experience working with front-end and back-end IT developers. A Bachelor-s degree, MBA desired Excellent interpersonal skills and can work collaboratively across a diverse team.
