Summary: Senior Supply Chain Leader in the IOPS organization with direct responsibility for the assessment, selection, implementation and maintenance of processes and systems relevant for the global IOPS Supply Chain function. The Director Supply Chain is responsible for providing leadership in process and system support for all of IOPS' Supply Chain business functions consistent with the strategic IOPS direction and sound principles of supply chain management.

The Director Supply Chain reports to the Executive Director Supply Chain and works closely with various senior leaders at Regeneron including the IOPS Leadership teams and the Regeneron ERP implementation team in Tarrytown.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Responsible for the daily management of the Supply Structures team within the IOPS Supply Chain organization:

o Provides direction for the Supply Structures group.

o Analyzing and advising on supply chain processes.

o Supply chain systems management overseeing the review and maintenance of all existing and future operational planning and reporting systems.

o IOPS supply master data management.

• The responsible business owner for the project management of future operational planning systems to be implemented within IOPS:

o From a business perspective maintains complete authority over the implementation of the IOPS planning systems to meet the IOPS business needs.

o Provides coaching and leadership to the direct reports within the project team.

o Regularly works with the IOPS leadership teams to implement change management, project planning, resource allocation, steering committee leadership, and team organizational structure management.

o Works with cross-functional teams to prepare for and promote system implementation. Assess user requirements against system capabilities. Actively seeks solutions where process gaps exist.

o Oversees, controls and where needed escalate the project scope and risks.

o Communicates project progress and needs regularly and effectively to direct project reports, Steering Committee and the project Business Sponsor.

o Responsible for project budgets and monitoring and reporting financial actuals versus budget in line with operational progress. Work to critical path delivery dates and timely decisions.

o Ensures knowledge transfer from project team to stakeholders.

• Provides coaching to direct reports including employee's development plans. Fosters a healthy work environment where employees feel valued and respected.

• Represents a professional, respectful and courteous manner when interacting with co-workers and suppliers.

• Drives continuous improvement initiatives. Creates business process flow diagrams to identify opportunities to optimize planning.

• Embraces and promotes the IOPS culture of teamwork, trust, transparency, drive and respect.

• Maintains awareness of current industry standards, trends and practices.

• May require domestic U.S. travel, potential international travel approximately up to 10% of the time.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Must be analytical, strategic, pragmatic, quick thinking and possess a "big picture" mindset

• Capable of working across multiple department lines

• Comfortable in advising senior-level management

• ERP and project management software

• Ability to manage multiple, complex projects and changing priorities; work extended hours when required, make sound decisions under pressure, and work effectively in a team environment

• Excellent time management, organizational skills, and written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to motivate and lead a team and supervising and coaching staff. Experience with interviewing, hiring, training, coaching and disciplinary actions.

• Attention to detail, fact-based, self-motivated, and ability to work under pressure

• Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement knowledge a plus

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management or science background required. Master's degree or MBA is preferred.

• 12+ years of relevant experience required, preferably with a strong background in IT software implementations within a biopharmaceutical and/or manufacturing and/or otherwise highly regulated business environment

• 5+ years of experience managing departmental teams

• Demonstrated experience having successfully managed and completed ERP project

• GMP regulated experience a plus

• APICS or other related purchasing certifications a plus
