We are currently seeking an experienced Director of Public Relations to join our ever-growing team!
JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY:The Director of Public Relations works within the Geronimo Hospitality Group and Hendricks Commercial Properties Marketing Department to create and execute strategies and programs that will drive positive perception and demand for all hospitality and development initiatives.
The primary responsibilities of this position include directing the overall planning, operation and administration of the public relations department. The Director of Public Relations is responsible for developing and executing department goals and objectives and ensuring brand message is consistent, timely, and relevant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Direct public relations department for Geronimo Hospitality Group and Hendricks Commercial PropertiesSet objectives for the PR team and monitor department performanceMaximize brand presence on various channels (e.g. web, print, TV, radio and social media)Work with media outlets to publish timely company information, such as press releases and other materialsCultivate and maintain relationships with media and influential professionalsArrange interviews and press releases to promote our companies and their various products/servicesEnsure brand consistency in all advertising efforts and ensure communication strategy consistently reflects the organization's strategic visionManages all public relations initiatives executed by outside PR agenciesOrganize PR events to increase awareness of our companyAssign tasks and projects to the PR teamTrack and influence media coverageRegularly report on PR campaigns' resultsManage sensitive issues to maintain company's good reputation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education Bachelor's Degree or equivalent or five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience and/or Training Proven work experience as a Public Relations (PR) Director, PR Manager or similar roleExperience coordinating successful PR campaignsExcellent communication and presentation skills with confidence to serve as the company's spokespersonCreative abilitiesAbility to adapt quickly to varying situations, make quick decisions, and take appropriate actionsTeam management skillsAbility to foster long-term relationships with key professionalsExcellent project management and communication skillsDisplay effective time management skillsExceptional attention to detail and commitment to providing high quality workParticipation in team and client meetingsWillingness to continue education/training in emerging areasAbility to work independently and as a teamMust be an excellent problem solverMust be willing to work in adverse weather conditionsMust be available to work extensive nights & weekendsTechnology/Equipment Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
