Commercial Strategy & Analytics Manager, Payer Analytics - Thousand Oaks , California, United States, 91358

The Manager will have responsibility for analytics relating to managed care/organized customers and help shape payer strategies that support patients access to Repatha for BCBU (Bone and Cardiovascular Business Unit). This position will report to Director (Payer Insights POD lead) and will be part of a cross functional analytics insights team to provide integrated analyses and insights help optimize Repatha brand performance. This position is specifically responsible for providing insights impacting payer/reimbursement strategies through secondary data analytics and data integration. In this role the candidate will collaborate with the Payer Insight lead to present the insights from secondary sources to various internal stakeholders including Brand Marketing, Access, Payer Marketing and Pricing/Contracting teams. Beyond traditional managed care organizations, integrated delivery networks and hospital formulary decision-makers may also be a focus, as would be incorporating a broad understanding of access and reimbursement implications of public CMS policies on the brands where this is a focus.

Specific Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Execute analytics plan to support payer insights from various payer datasets based on detailed understanding of related datasets i.e Patient level claims data; Payer claims data; Formulary coverage; Specialty Pharmacy Data
• Provides regular reports linked to key business indicators to inform forecast assumptions and other performance expectations
• Provides appropriate data caveats and business rules

• Work with data management team to ensure to enable and maintain data integration to facilitate specific analytic needs; be able to use relevant tools to generate analytic datasets I.e using SAS/SQL/Spotfire to create analytical datasets
• Build excel based tools to visualize data and drive insights-driven decision-making
• Support business reviews with analytics
• Provide ad hoc analysis in response to business questions

Basic Qualifications

• Doctorate degree
OR
• Master's degree and 2 years of analytics experience
OR
• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of analytics experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelors degree and 5 or more years of analytics/or finance experience
- Master's degree and 3 or more years of analytics/or finance experience
- 3+ years of healthcare experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, health care, and/or strategy consulting with specific experience and expertise in coverage, access and reimbursement drivers impacting the biopharmaceutical industry
- High degree of analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exhibits strong understanding of business strategies.

- Experience using SAS/SQL/Spotfire to create analytical datasets
