Scope of Work:

This individual may be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Develop enterprise wide communications utilizing Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and other tools;

  • Develop change management and communication strategies and lead execution of key deliverables;

  • Develop subject matter expertise in specific functional area to support effective targeted communication, marketing, training, and organizational realignment;

  • Create business process documentation and demonstrate system or other functionality to senior management and business owners;

  • Create and deliver custom, on-site training and documentation to different levels of employees at different sites;

  • Collaborate with functional subject matter experts in the design and review of course materials and recommend updates in preparation for training delivery;

  • Manage stakeholder expectations and encourage positive behaviors in response to operational and organizational change;

  • Assess operational and organizations needs through interviews, surveys and focus groups to identify gaps and aligns related strategic initiatives to the County Executives objectives and mission;

  • Develop training curriculum, job aides, training materials;

  • Develop organizational metrics to baseline and measure success over time in conjunction with stakeholders;

  • Establish strong and credible relationship with management and employees to successfully build trust, collaboration and integrity;

  • Demonstrate experience and knowledge of principles, practices, and systems of organizational design, change management, and organizational development;

  • Demonstrate experience and knowledge of core business functions and processes, including procurement, budget, financial management, human resources management and experience in business process re-engineering activities.

Skills/experience preferred:

  • At least 3 years of demonstrated Communication and Change Management experience;

  • Strong communication skills dealing with all levels of management and effectiveness at developing creditability and relationships;

  • Demonstrated consensus/coalition building with stakeholders, management, and employees at all levels in the organization;

  • Demonstrated organizational design, employee engagement group facilitation, coaching and mentoring;

  • Ability to perform analysis of performance gaps and create relevant process mapping and other documentation;

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and designing communications, job aides, training material utilizing tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Captivate, UPK and/or Camtasia.
