Company Background We are specialized in SAP (An Enterprise Resources Planning software package) application services. We provide various types of services to our clients. We provide implementation services that would typically involve development, implementation, blueprinting, and rollout of solution in multiple phases across regionsbusiness units. We are actively involved in large Design, Develop, Implement and Rollout projects in different business functions. We also provide production support services to our clients to ensure the deployed solutions are maintained and perform optimally. We provide offshore services to our clients to support custom development and research. The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients. They must then plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company.They must develop a rapport with new clients, and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship. They are also required to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients. Business Development Managers work with mid and senior level management, marketing, and technical staff.Heshe may manage the activities of others responsible for developing business for the company. Strategic planning is a key part of this job description since it is the business manager s responsibility to develop the pipeline of new business coming into the company. This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutionsservices the company can provide, and of the company s competitors.While the exact responsibilities will vary from company to company, the main duties of the Business Development Manager can be summarized as follows Primary duties Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry researching and analyzing sales options. Experience with selling ERP services and especially with SAP AMS and consulting is a must Experience with preparation of RFPRFQ for IT services is a must Establishing contact and developing relationships with prospective customers recommending solutions. Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance researching and recommending new opportunities recommending profit and service improvements. Must have working experience with Direct Clients, MSPVMS Implementation Partners. Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business. Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network. Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization. Research and build relationships with new clients Set up meetings between client decision makers and company s practice leadersPrincipals. Present an image that mirrors that of the client. Plan approaches and pitches. Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client s needs, concerns, and objectives. Experience in managing Recruitment teams Product improvements by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors. Develop staffing business by acquiring new customers, becoming tier-1 vendors to big IT staffing firms Perform Account manager roles such as analyzing staffing requirements, screening candidates, submitting to clients, onboarding and monitoring performance Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Should be able to work independently with little supervision from management Good background in using social media tools for sales and recruitment. Develop and execute a new business sales strategy to optimize revenues Hold online and in-person meetings, demos and sales presentations with prospective customers. Manage the sales process from qualifying and meeting setting to negotiation and closing Work to ensure client success and retention Understand the target markets, including industry, company, project, company contacts and which market strategies can be used to attract clients Collaborate with sales teams to ensure that requirements are met. Possess a strong understanding of our products, our competition in the industry and positioning Follow the latest industry developments and stay up-to-date on corporate competitors High-quality networking skills Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately. Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs. Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs. Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends. Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels. Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales. Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company s unique selling propositions and differentiators. Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate. Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company s CRM or other sales management system. Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team. Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets. Work with marketing staff to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled within a timely manner. Ensure all team members represent the company in the best light. Present business development training and mentoring to business developers and other internal staff. Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company s people and capabilities. Understand the company s goal and purpose to continue to enhance the company s performance. Education Business development management positions require a bachelor s degree in related field and around 10 years of IT services sales or marketing experience.
