Summary

The Associate Director, Head of Recruitment Strategy is responsible for the development and implementation of an indication-specific recruitment plan. This functional manager will be responsible for building a high performing team of Recruitment Specialists who support all phases of development across the R&D portfolio. He/she will demonstrate strong connectivity with GCO and other development colleagues, as well as internal and external stakeholders to foster collaborative opportunities. They will also serve as a role model by creating a culture of innovation and creativity within the team.

Responsibilities

Optimizes the performance of a team through strong functional expertise, knowledge of the drug development process, project management experience and collaboration with project teams and subject matter experts.

Provides ongoing evaluation, coaching and feedback to direct reports which enhance work performance and skills, reviews performance metrics and takes corrective action, when necessary.

Responsible for developing a detailed training plan which enhances the functional expertise of each direct report while increasing their project management capability.

Partners with the Engagement Strategy Leads to develop an in-depth awareness of the BMS pipeline and clinical trial book of work (BoW) and makes appropriate resourcing decisions against both.

Actively encourages their direct reports to explore innovation in clinical trials through awareness of the external environment, focusing on patients and striving to become our site's preferred sponsor. Supports internal efforts to further the identification of new opportunities whichexpand our toolkit.

Provides oversight and direction to direct reports' contribution to any governance or otherpresentations to ensure that the content presented demonstrates a thorough assessment of the recommendations, risks and issues.

Leads cross functional, global initiatives with demonstrated delivery of results.

Demonstrates strong capability in matrix leadership, stakeholder management and ability to work across all groups within GCO and beyond. Provides ongoing and timely coaching and feedback to direct reports in order to cultivate their own development in this area.

Effectively manages stakeholders through strong competencies in communication and collaboration as well as timely issue identification and resolution.

Contributes to the overall Engagement and Enrollment team goals by encouraging innovation in clinical trials and promoting the enhancement of BMS Study Connect as a communication platform to drive awareness of and access to BMS Clinical Trials.

Qualifications

BA/BS and/or MS degree with 10 years of pharmaceutical clinical development industry experience.

Experienced manager of people with demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with limited supervision and build strong relationships with internal and external partners.

Knowledge of the drug development process and the project management of clinical trials.

Proven ability to partner effectively with colleagues across multiple functions, geographies and at all levels of the enterprise.

Strong, proven stakeholder management and communication skills, particularly with senior leaders encouraged.

Position is based in Central New Jersey and involves limited travel.
