Navigant Consulting's strategic advisory practice provides objective, practical, results-oriented assistance to address the business challenges facing healthcare executives and their organizations including: Enterprise-wide strategic plans; business plan development and validation; program and service line analysis; new market opportunity and strategic positioning assessment; market research, analysis and forecasting; pricing and reimbursement strategy, design and implementation; and physician collaboration.
This role can be based in any of the following locations: Chicago, IL; Denver, CO; Washington, D.C.
We are currently seeking a Managing Consultant with prior healthcare consulting experience with provider sponsored health plans and/or provider population health operations to participate on a variety of strategic, financial and operational planning projects for provider organizations and provider sponsored health plans related to healthcare reform. The successful candidate will:
+ Manage significant client engagements and day-to-day relationships
+ Oversee, mentor and develop senior consultants and analysts
+ Execute client deliverables, including synthesizing the strategic, financial and operational implications of analyses
+ Assist where necessary with data acquisition, integration and analysis to support a wide range of payer and provider analytics including financial analysis, clinical and operational benchmarking
+ Regularly present results and updates to clients
+ Master?s degree in business, management, health policy and/or administration required
+ 5-10 years of previous work experience in a healthcare consulting firm or a combination of healthcare industry and consulting experience
+ Must have previous consulting experience
+ Provider-side experience in a health system, hospital and/or medical group
+ Solid background in broad-based provider financial modeling
+ Project and/or program management experience
+ Superior written and verbal communication skills
+ Excellent quantitative analysis skills
+ Demonstrated excellence in Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as the ability to conduct research
+ Track record of efficiency, flexibility, creative problem-solving, self-motivated, analytical and highly-organized
+ Proven ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within team structures
+ Entrepreneurial spirit and excitement toward promoting Navigant?s growing healthcare practice
+ Proven success in directing work activities of others
+ Capacity to manage multiple work streams, work under pressure and meet deadlines
+ Proven ability to accurately exchange information and update clients regarding project status
+ The ability to travel up to 75%
+ Frequently communicates with clients and coworkers and must be able to share information effectively
+ Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
+ Flexibility and responsiveness in managing multiple projects in sometimes high-pressure situations simultaneously
+ Self-motivator with ability to work independently
+ Plan, direct, and coordinate work activities of others
+ Frequently travels by airplane, train or car as necessary to perform work at another location
